Accomplished and respected, Dr. Nick Lekkas is a highly qualified board certified orthodontist utilizing the very latest techniques in orthodontic treatment. His goal is to provide state-of-the-art comprehensive orthodontic care whether traditional, invisible, and surgical treatment options for adults and children. Dr. Lekkas has a strong commitment to the diagnostic requirements of each individual to obtain optimal facial balance and appearance, as well as a beautiful smile.
He received his Bachelor's degree in Science and graduated with distinction in the honors program and subsequently received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in dentistry after completing four years of training at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry. He also completed a one year Advance Education in General Practice Residency from Mount Sinai Medical Center, Miami Beach, Florida.
Dr. Lekkas practiced as a general dentist before he was one of six residents chosen to attend the world-renowned Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City. He completed a three-year postgraduate program where he was awarded his orthodontic specialty certification. Dr. Lekkas has achieved Board Certification and is a Diplomate of The American Board of Orthodontics, a distinction only awarded to a small number of orthodontists. He holds active memberships in the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association and Southern Association of Orthodontists.
Dr. Nancy Lee is a South Florida native. She was born and raised in Miami, and after obtaining two Bachelor of Science degrees in Biology and Psychology at the University of Florida, she returned and was awarded her Doctorate degree at Nova Southeastern University, College of Dental Medicine, graduating with the top of her class. Dr. Lee then received advanced education in General Dentistry at the Miami VA Medical Center.
In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, snorkeling and diving, stand-up paddle boarding, and gardening, among other activities.
Dr. Lee's professional memberships include the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. Her practice philosophy involves thoroughly listening to her patients' concerns, helping them understand the causative factors of underlying problems, and providing treatment options that suit their needs.

Dr. Romero was born and raised in Cuba where she completed her four out of 5 years program to become a dentist at University of Havana. She migrated to the United States in 2008. She attended Florida International University where she obtained her bachelor degrees in Biology graduating with honors. She attended University of Florida College of Dental Medicine, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude being the only Hispanic woman among the four top students of her class.
For Dr. Romero, "This is a profession that requires compassion, perseverance, and tenacity. As a Pediatric Dentist, Dr. Azar has completed two years of advanced Pediatric training and education beyond dental school. A pediatric Dentist provides both primary and specialty comprehensive preventative and therapeutic oral health care for infants and children through their adolescent years.

Dr. Borges, a native of Pinar del Rio, Cuba, obtained his degree in Dental Medicine at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He graduated with honors and was presented with an award in “Outstanding Achievements and Performance in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery” by the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He was also awarded membership to Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Dental Society, a prestigious and nationally recognized organization which rewards excellence in scholarship and exemplary traits of character.
His interest in medicine and surgery led Dr. Borges to the pursuit of additional training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He completed his residency training at Nova Southeastern University in south Florida, where he developed a special interest in wisdom teeth surgery, implant reconstruction, maxillofacial pathology, cosmetic surgery, orthognathic surgery and facial trauma. With hospital affiliations in Broward Health Medical Center and Memorial Regional Hospital, both level I trauma centers, Dr. Borges has participated in numerous advanced facial reconstruction cases and was chief of a busy head and neck cancer service, offering a wide array of treatment options to patients with head and neck malignancies. He received extensive training in the diagnosis and management of oral cancer with exposure to microvascular free flap reconstruction. As coordinator of a multidisciplinary dentofacial anomalies team, Dr. Borges has played a key role in the surgical management of patients with anomalies of jaw relations and has performed numerous jaw rearrangement surgeries.
Committed to education and patient care, Dr. Borges has published in several scientific journals and has recently published a book chapter in Oral and Maxillofacial Clinics of North America with the goal of optimizing awareness and providing the best treatment possible for patients. As a clinical instructor in local anesthesia administration and adjunctive anesthetic techniques, Dr. Borges has mastered the skills of local anesthesia administration and deep sedation, providing a more comfortable environment and a more pleasant experience for his patients. He believes that it is the duty of every surgeon to maintain updated knowledge as technological advances modify the practice of medicine, and maintains adjunct faculty position in the department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Nova Southeastern University and the Department of Pediatric Dentistry in Miami Children’s Hospital.
